What is more important

In today Society what is more important in sports winning or having fun. having fun at the kids level should be the answer. but this idea of winning. for example when kids are playing is technique more important than having fun. if what they are doing is going harm them self than by all means stop the, but is drilling them and drilling them at the end pf the day what is truly accomplished. beside the fact that the kids are now not having fun. is that what you truly want?

Best Football Defense Is.....

Football is a game of inches and every in inch in defending you side of the ball counts. one of the best defensive in my opinion is a 3-4-4 Defense.  a 3-4-4 defense stands for 3 defensive line man. These are your big guys their main job is to take on as many blocks as they can and not lose ground. They take up as many so the first set of 4 the linebackers have alley ways to get into the backfield and tackle the running back or quarter back. the last set of four is the secondary which consist of safeties and cornerbacks. this defense  is interchangeable and cover from side to side extremely well. when i start coaching this is the defense my team will be running so watch out.

Tips on Coaching

For all those who are reading this who want to be a future coach it's time we shack up the normal routine. for generation after generation some coaching style that we seen and thought were good ways of coaching may be wrong. i'm not sitting here and saying what i'm about to tell you is the right way either all i'm saying is keep an open mind. most of us who play sports growing up can remember a time standing around while other are  practicing and getting more reps than other players. instead of getting reps and getting better your watching other player get better at the sport. this is what is called blocked practices. Blocked practice can be a good way to practice if done right. a video that i watch on youtube. the link is below. Sru Football Vs. My Home Town (West Chester)

As much as i want Slippery Rock to win a little part of wants my home town to win. Might Sound wrong but I spent most of my life watching them practice and play. I have all the confidence that #9 rank Slippery  Rock  will beat my home town this Saturday. Our defense gives up slim to no points and offense put up major numbers as well. and if I'm correct from last year West Chester beat us in a playoff game last year what better way than take the crown from them this year. So in other words go Rock Football.
